Going back on day shift.

Nights got so fucking predictable on
break downs that I was getting looked
at.

Logs and cameras proved that I wasn't
the cause, but the solution.

The stress I was going through was affecting
my Home life.

I asked to be removed from nights.

Tuesday, I'll be 5 12's on days.

Someone else can deal with the bullshit, or; it
will follow me.

Either way, I need the break.

Hope this finds the few that are here, well.

Saturday, at 12:39 I get called to the press.

Vic, who has been there nearly 30 years has a log
elevated and stuck on the shear.

He looks at me and asks "What do we do" ?

He had never had a log stuck.

I saw this weekly, on nights.

I told him to push it back, while I got some 4x4
wood.

I take one, put it in the shear and tell him to
shear it.

He actually has panic in his eyes, but follows my
order.

I take the short piece of wood, place it in front of
the log and say push.

He pushes and I remove the wood, which is on fire.

I insert the longer piece and say push.

I can now see that is a broken roller.

I fish one half out with a hook, but the other half
is stubborn.

I yell for a sleeve and mitt, and turn off zones 3 and 2.

Vic (who is a Lead) says that I can't stick my arm in
the oven.

I grinned as I put the sleeve on, and said "don't look".

I went shoulder deep, over 800 degrees and grabbed
the second piece of roller.

Saturday, I made my reputation with First Shift.

All hail The Vampire.

All still good.

Getting used to days.

I'm fucking sun burnt, but that's ok.
