View Full Version : "Message in a Bottle" Contest.
Ok since everyone seems keen.
Message in a Bottle Short Story Competition. (MIAB).
Rules of engagement.
1. No word limit.
2. Story must revolve around someone or something discovering "a Message in a Bottle".
3. Story must contain 2 character's, no more, no less.
4. The "Message" should be included in the story within [ quote ] tags.
5. Submissions close end of June, as per other contests a vote thread will then run for a week for members to vote on their favorite story.
6. Story's to be posted in the "Members Contest" forum in a new thread with (MIAB) in the Title.
Any questions post them in this thread.

no not necesarily.
as long as there are only two characters that interact.
eg...someone finds a message in a bottle and try's to track down the sender but is only able to find their son because the sender died.

That's one of those awards where it's like, "whew...glad I didn't win that one...."
Needn't feel bad about it though.....BE's asshole-ness is so advanced that it is like 9 armless and legless nuggets taking on the NY Yankees in nine innings. Best they can hope for is to clog up the basepaths and aggravate 'em.

no offense, but this reminds me of a high school writing assignment. perhaps i'd be more receptive if my entire schooling under the subject of 'english' hadn't been dictated solely by obese sexist lesbians. oddly enough all of whom looked the same.

i'll see if i can draw out some ideas while having a cig quick. if not i'll continue to lurk around until a topic sufficiently resonates. though whats more likely to happen is that i will outright ignore the criteria (as was also the case with all of my schooling in general).

*shrugs* i've never been one for bars (or alcohol for that matter i suppose) nor have i ever had enough money to spend in a brothel. though i can't say i'd mind wasting away in a nice brothel. that'd be a hell of a way to go. though if we're talking more of a crack den type brothel, then yes, i see your point.
