I used to smoke quite a bit but not much at all anymore.
I think hemp as an industry has been hugely demonised by various governments world wide to protect special interest groups, particularly petroleum and plastics company's, many of which, strangely enough have politicians as shareholders or former pollies on their boards.

It is one of the most useful plants on the planet which our ancestors used for a whole range of things.

Its use, both personal and industrial, should be legalised across the globe.

BTW may need to just shrink your avvy down a wee bit so that it doesnt stretch out the page.

After last night's shout box convo, I think you know where I personally stand on this. :lol:

I got addicted to tobacco in my early 20's because I was hanging out in the club scene in SF and I didn't drink booze, so I needed something to do with my hands. it was stupid and took me 15 years or so to finally quit for real.

I tried to quit on and off for years. It finally took me getting pregnant to do the trick.

Cannabis is medicine to me. Not sure if it will cause cancer or not. I think damage done to lungs, etc. has more to do with what was fed to the plants while they were grown, and what kind of pest control was used on it. Hemp/cannabis stores stuff in their systems. Feed it lots of toxic fertilizers and use say, bonide copper on it, and you're smoking the fertilizers and the copper. That is not good at all.

For all I know, that might be the case with tobacco as well.

Smoked cigs for about 18 months back in the 80's when I was doin' a lot of blow, gave 'em both up about the same time.

Like I said last night, I've been dry coming up on a year.

I miss it, but I don't crave it, maybe because I know the day will dawn when I again shall imbibe.

Personal choice.

And tough times.

But I've kicked way nastier habits in the past through sheer determination and grit, had to; going to meetings never worked for me.

Besides, what we're talking about here isn't a nasty habit, it's a gift to mankind.

A gift I'll once again embrace when I'm able to work for myself, and live by my own rules.
